Clutch Group merging with Houston rival
Shah, who was honored as EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the services category 2015, said Clutch’s focus on the financial services industry and Morae’s roots in the energy and life sciences sectors will complement one another.
Clutch was founded in 2007 and made the Inc. 5000 list in 2014 and 2015. For the latter year, it reported $55.7 million in revenue and three-year growth of 145 percent.
Before founding Morae Legal, Bashir served as executive vice president at Chicago-based Huron Consulting Group for 11 years. A few former Huron employees also joined him at Morae Legal, which established a Houston headquarters in 2015.
Clutch Group is bringing its e-discovery and managed review services, plus its proprietary Clutch.IQ product suite, to the combined company. Morae Legal’s information and discovery management will be integrated into the Clutch brand, which includes information governance and discovery consulting.
