In late March, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its 2014/2015 Business Plan outlining budgetary provisions, new initiatives, and investigation agendas for the upcoming year.
The Business Plan reflects what we have observed first-hand over the past year. The FCA is furthering a trend of focusing on cultural change, shifting attention from senior management and boardrooms to individuals and their impact on markets and consumers. In addition, the FCA’s additional competition and consumer credit oversight will have direct and major implications for investment and retail banking investigations and regulations.
